Andrew returned to the TRC in July 2001 as a Senior Research Fellow and took up the position of Deputy Director in January 2002. Andrew's association with the TRC began in 1991 as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow a position he held until 1995. During the interim period, Andrew was an Operations Research Analyst at the Snowy Mountains Hydro-electric Authority. There he investigated the pricing of electrical contracts and optimal bidding in the new National Electricity Market and worked on real time control systems for hydro-electrical generation plants.
Andrew's areas of research interest include Maths Programming, Operations Research, Stochastic Processes, Risk Analysis, Computer Programming and Computer Simulation.

Biography
Andrew Coyle's studies were undertaken at the University of Adelaide. He graduated with a first class honours degree in Applied Mathematics in 1982 and was awarded his PhD 1990. Andrew worked in the Hydrology, Image Processing and Forestry industries.
